3C Coding School raises $3 million to expand in Saudi Arabia and automate AI education pathways
Egyptian edtech company 3C Coding School closed an initial financing round of $3 million, a step aimed at funding its direct expansion into the Saudi market and developing a dedicated AI-based learning platform to manage and adapt programming curricula for its students.
The round was led by MRG Economic Group, the investment arm of Egyptian businessman Mahmoud Ramadan, with participation from investor Amr Saad and a group of angel investors, according to reports by Wamda and Zawya on the deal’s details and investment structure.
The platform was founded in 2015 by engineers Hossam Hosni and Ahmed Khalaf.It has focused on offering educational programs for children and adolescents covering web development, mobile applications, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, game development, and cybersecurity. The new funding is based on an operational base that has grown to exceed 120,000 students, alongside a revenue jump of 230 percent.
The technical bet in this round goes beyond adding a conventional smart assistant to existing curricula, as the company is building an algorithmic system that analyzes each student’s progress individually, determines the sequence and difficulty of lessons, and the support needed from teachers. This approach moves the platform from merely teaching AI tools to using models to manage the learning environment itself and to test the efficiency of adaptive teaching against static curricula.
The expansion coincides with a regional investment focus in the Middle East and North Africa on supporting companies that build technical workforce skills rather than merely financing consumer tools, driven by the need of infrastructure and sovereign AI projects for a steady flow of qualified local engineers to operate those systems.
Regionally, this expansion carries a clear operational signal for companies and educational institutions in the Gulf and Egypt, as the entry of an operator with curricula tested on more than 120,000 students raises the competitive bar for digital training initiatives in Saudi Arabia and tests whether adaptive platforms can accelerate talent development and reduce institutional training costs compared with full reliance on teachers.
