Najm Insurance Services, the national platform managing vehicle accident claims in Saudi Arabia, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Solera, a global specialist in vehicle lifecycle management and claims solutions, to integrate artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics into traffic accident settlements on a nationwide scale.
The partnership includes deploying Solera's Qapter and Intelligent Estimating solutions directly within Najm's central platform. The system accelerates damage assessment decisions and improves accuracy and consistency across insurers, repair centers, and vehicle owners, reducing claims processing times and improving operational efficiency across the entire network.
The shift goes beyond deploying software, restructuring the traditional claims lifecycle from manual inspection to instant digital assessment powered by cumulative data. The move builds on Solera's international reach across more than 300,000 customers in over 120 countries, combining it with Najm's operational footprint and comprehensive database in the Saudi market.
Under the agreement, Najm will also join Solera's Global Circularity Consortium, an international coalition uniting insurers, repairers, technology providers, academia, and government bodies. The consortium aims to share knowledge and develop artificial intelligence applications that promote sustainability, optimize spare parts supply chains, and support circular economy practices in vehicle repairs and future mobility.
Salman Al-Suhaibani, Chief Business and Operations Officer at Najm, said the move marks a new chapter in the development of the motor insurance ecosystem by pairing the platform's national reach with Solera's technical and artificial intelligence capabilities, creating a more interconnected claims environment and supporting Saudi Vision 2030 targets. Fernando Pernigo, Regional Vice President at Solera, noted that deploying these technologies and linking Saudi Arabia to the global consortium establishes the Kingdom's model as an advanced benchmark for digital transformation in mobility and insurance across the Middle East.
This step shifts the competitive landscape for financial institutions and insurers in the region, as moving to automated damage estimation removes manual processing speed as an advantage, placing the true differentiation on underwriting quality and risk management. For operations leaders in Gulf insurance or fleet transport, automating accident appraisal at the central platform level delivers an immediate reduction in claims inspection costs and inaccurate settlement waste, while requiring insurers to integrate internal systems with unified platform APIs and upskill teams to handle algorithmic auditing standards.
For repair shops and parts supply chains across regional markets, this integration establishes standardized pricing and damage approvals governed by precise auditing algorithms, reducing appraisal disputes and accelerating cash flow cycles between insurers and service providers. Participation in circularity initiatives also provides a path to lower replacement costs by organizing the market for remanufactured parts under traceable digital standards.
