Glassdoor 2026 ranking puts Jensen Huang at the top of executive CEOs with 99% approval

Founder and CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, achieved the top spot on Glassdoor's list of best CEOs for 2026, based on direct ratings from the company's employees who gave him a 99% approval rating. These results come as the platform's operators noted that redefining the modern workplace with artificial intelligence and shifting expectations have made exceptional leadership more important than ever, with the top fifty leaders going beyond managing day-to-day operations to empowering their teams and building a genuine corporate culture.
Glassdoor relaunched its list of best CEOs this year after a five-year hiatus, replacing the Best-Led Companies list that Nvidia itself topped in 2025. The change aims to shine a direct spotlight on executive leadership and its impact on employee experience and corporate reputation. The list coincided with Glassdoor's best workplaces rankings for technology and artificial intelligence, where Nvidia ranked first in January, and 28 of the 50 CEOs featured in the leadership list also secured a spot for their companies in the 2026 best workplaces list, reflecting the close link between strong leadership and distinguished corporate culture.
The top five spots on the list, alongside Jensen Huang at the summit, included Jason Johnson of Quick Quack Car Wash in second place, Kevin Lobo of Striker in third, Alan Schnitzer of Travelers in fourth, and Chris Sarniki of Keller Williams in fifth. The platform explained that the honor recognizes CEOs who lead their organizations with empathy, clarity and purpose amid the uncertainty prevailing in the labor market.
Daniel Jau, chief economist at Glassdoor, said confidence in leadership has declined at the moment when employees need it most. Jau noted that the platform's data show senior-management ratings have fallen to their lowest levels in about a decade, and in this context the CEOs on the list stand out for their clear communication, commitment to their companies' missions and earning genuine trust from their teams.
The technology sector accounted for the largest presence in the ranking, with the list including nine tech CEOs among the top fifty, outpacing other sectors such as real estate, financial services and manufacturing. The platform determines the ranking by analyzing reviews and ratings submitted by employees in the United States between May 16 2025 and May 15 2026, where workers assess several dimensions including the CEO’s performance, senior management and their impressions of the internal culture.
Employee feedback in the ratings showed positive impressions of Nvidia’s leadership, with some describing Huang as dynamic, authentic and possessing a great vision, noting that the workplace encourages collaboration and provides meaningful work. Other comments highlighted the engineering culture and leadership that puts people first, granting freedom to work and relying on first-principles thinking from the top of the hierarchy.Employees affirmed that working on the latest artificial-intelligence technologies within the company, which forms the backbone of the new tech revolution, offers excellent career opportunities and benefits described as unparalleled.
