Core challengeBuilding an AI layer tied into a peer-to-peer marketplace experience, from customer conversations, order processing, and disputes to discovery, recommendations, fraud signals, and seller tooling. The role combines architecting Python-based LLM services with integrating them into React interfaces, then benchmarking, deploying, and monitoring them in production.
Key requirementsAt least 5 years of production software engineering experience, at least 2 years shipping AI and machine learning features at scale, Python mastery, working proficiency with TypeScript and React, deep retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) experience covering chunking, embeddings, indexing, hybrid search, and reranking, as well as evaluation, observability, and benchmarking experience.
