The US startup Twin1 AI, operating in enterprise AI, emerged from stealth announcing the raising of $20 million in a seed round. The round was led with participation by Saudi Aramco Ventures, alongside Bismarck Venture Partners and Tribeca Venture Partners, and included investors such as EGJF Ventures, Ten Allee Ventures, AGI House Ventures, Neo, F Prime, Bitech Consortium, Anti Portfolio Ventures, Lexstar, Notion Capital, and Insiders.
The company was founded in 2025 by Dr. Luis Zi. Liu, Tom Khan, Huiting Liu, and Dr. Jonathan Bud. It focuses on developing what it describes as a dedicated coordination and reliability layer for enterprise AI, by creating AI-powered digital twins of employees and professionals, aiming to capture individual work context and accumulated expertise and make it available across the organization’s units to preserve and expand institutional knowledge.
The platform builds digital twins based on the work context, including email, meetings, documents, and operational systems. The technology integrates directly with common work tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Gmail, Google Drive, and SharePoint.The operational value lies in linking individual twins through a unified network.The Twin Network enables identifying the appropriate colleagues for complex tasks, retrieving knowledge based on defined permission levels, and coordinating workflow within the organization.
The platform includes governance and privacy controls that precisely define what information each digital twin may access and share. The company has already begun deploying its technology with organizations in the legal services, financial services, and energy sectors. It will direct the new capital toward expanding its teams at its campuses in San Mateo, California, and London, as well as financing commercial expansion plans and developing the core technical infrastructure.
This development is directly tied to the nature of digital transformation within large organizations in the Gulf, Egypt, and the Arab Levant, especially in the energy, banking, and consulting sectors. As reliance on shared work environments such as Teams and SharePoint grows, the loss of accumulated expertise and the isolation of knowledge within departments becomes an operational burden and an indirect cost to projects. The governance-layer model with permission-based digital twins offers a solution to address this gap without exposing sensitive data to compliance risks or privacy breaches.
This step places chief technology officers and data teams in regional organizations on a new path for managing cumulative knowledge, moving beyond traditional search tools to automate the retrieval of expertise and daily work context to improve decision-making efficiency.
