The partnership between the Egyptian entrepreneurship platform Rise Up and Nvidia moves to a new executive level in Cairo, through the organization of an expanded reception for the local AI ecosystem. The meeting brings together startup founders, developers, sector executives, academics and technology community representatives to discuss joint development opportunities and expand technical presence in Egypt, with Paulo Goulielmini, vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Mark Dominic, regional vice president for the Middle East, Turkey, Africa and Southern Europe at Nvidia, in attendance.

The move follows an initial step that the capital saw in July 2026, consisting of the first session of the Nvidia Signals program in Egypt held inside the Grand Egyptian Museum, jointly organized by Rise Up, A15 and Beit Root. That session brought together more than 120 founders, investors and ecosystem leaders, and placed entrepreneurs directly in front of Basel Fatin, head of the startup and venture capital sector in the Nvidia Inception program, which paved the way for turning the gathering into a recurring local chapter linking talent and companies to global support channels.

The Nvidia Inception program represents a free gateway for supporting startups worldwide, providing a specialized technical community, advanced computing resources, and direct opportunities to connect with investors. This step, according to statements by Abdelhamid Sharara, founder and CEO of Rise Up, confirms that the work did not stop at the first event but turned into a permanent bridge aiming to integrate Egypt’s AI ecosystem with Nvidia’s international network, through two different types of events over a year, while preparing additional joint initiatives in the coming months to support the regional AI environment.

This trajectory reflects a tangible shift in the nature of decisions, opportunities and costs facing technical teams in Egypt and the surrounding region. The issue here goes beyond event organization to opening direct pathways that reduce the cost of accessing specialized computing resources and development tools required by AI models, which is the biggest challenge confronting startups in their early stages. Connecting developers in Cairo with technical support programs changes the equation for building digital products, allowing founders to test their solutions within advanced frameworks without draining their cash budgets, and also giving venture capital funds in Egypt and the Gulf greater clarity about technical teams capable of employing globally recognized engineering standards suitable for regional expansion.

This institutional expansion requires software team leaders and entrepreneurs in the region to move from isolated individual development to leveraging the available partnership frameworks with major technology partners. The real value of on-site presence for technology leaders lies in local teams’ ability to secure seats within support programs and access technical resources, thereby raising the efficiency of locally developed products and giving them greater competitiveness in regional labor and technology markets.
