Apexed Intuition, a company specializing in autonomous driving software, announced, in collaboration with Hoomain, the launch of a strategic project to deploy thousands of heavy autonomous trucks across the main logistics corridors in Saudi Arabia by 2030, aiming to build the world’s largest network of independent trucks and shift computing and AI capabilities from screens to physical infrastructure on a national scale.

The announcement was made on the main stage during the opening day of the LIP 2026 conference in Riyadh, attended by more than two hundred thousand participants and about one thousand eight hundred international technology exhibitors. Apexed Intuition’s co-founder and CEO, Caesar Yunus, together with Hoomain’s CEO, Tarek Amin, presented a live demonstration of an autonomous truck operating on the capital’s streets, noting that integrating Hoomain’s sovereign AI infrastructure with the American company’s operating suite constitutes a historic first in deploying physical AI across the entire nation.

The initiative combines Apexed Intuition’s autonomous driving system and vehicle operating system with the local sovereign cloud infrastructure. Unlike isolated projects whose technologies are typically confined to a single factory or port, this agreement is built on a unified horizontal platform that aggregates diverse data from multiple sectors, including trucks, ports and mines, in the United States, Europe and Japan, where the company already operates Level 4 autonomous trucks in partnership with vehicle manufacturer Isuzu in the Japanese market.

Moving AI to the mobile field redesigns national supply chains and expands the scope of automation. The roadmap does not limit itself to trucks; it also establishes a regulatory and technical framework for subsequent expansion into autonomous taxis, mining, ports, agricultural operations, and construction. To support this path, Apexed Intuition opened an official office in Riyadh and began hiring a local engineering and technical team, a point emphasized by the company’s chief engineer, Adriano Quiroga, during a discussion that included leaders from Hoomain and Kombal Electronics, noting that the success of physical AI stems from training and nurturing field talent capable of managing these systems.

Considering what this shift means for professionals in the Gulf, Egypt and the region, the direct impact goes beyond merely observing a foreign technology to impose practical requirements in cost management and skill development. Converting logistics corridors into routes that support autonomous vehicles enables road transport companies to lower operating costs and address driver shortages, but it also raises compliance, safety and technical oversight demands. As an executive manager or engineer in the region, you should anticipate a shift in job demand from isolated software development toward hardware-software integration engineering, fleet coordination, and logistical linking between data centers and real-world transport networks.
