Partner Solutions Architect at Elastic: Saudi Arabia

This posting says more about the Saudi job market than about the company itself. Elastic is not looking for an engineer who builds a model, but for someone who raises the technical capability of its partners in the Kingdom so that they can sell and implement its technology without its presence in the room.

Role:Partner Solutions Architect at Elastic in Saudi Arabia, full-time, with travel up to thirty percent of the time. The company describes itself as an AI-powered search company and says its platform is used by more than half of Fortune 500 companies, combining search precision with AI capabilities in cloud solutions for search, cybersecurity and monitoring.

Primary challenge:The role rests on three pillars that the posting defines clearly. The first is partner-driven growth: generating partner-approved deal registrations together with partner managers, running partner-specific sales playbooks, supporting the technical definition of the deal and helping the partner add its own services to raise the average deal value. The second, described as leverage engineering, involves owning the technical relationship with each partner, creating a quarterly-reviewed technical engagement plan for each key partner, and designing enablement pathways and certifications that move the partner through a technical maturity model until it becomes fully independent. The third is joint innovation: designing solution blueprints and reference architectures with partners, including operating models on AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, and supporting solutions built by the partners themselves, such as sovereign and managed offerings that the company does not build.

What is worth noting here is the measurement method. The posting states explicitly that the role is measured against four quarterly-reviewed targets with evidence: partner-approved deal registrations versus the regional quota, which is the primary metric; execution of sales playbooks that raise the average deal value; adherence to technical engagement plans; and published reusable assets. The benchmark is the opportunity-pipeline and capacity line, not activity volume. This is a pre-sales role with a numeric goal, precisely the type of position that makes up a large share of AI-skill demand in the Gulf today.

Key requirements:

  • Eight years or more in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, or cloud and infrastructure technologies.
  • Five years or more in pre-sales within the software sector, preferably focused on partners in channel and alliance ecosystems, system integrators and managed security service providers.
  • Practical knowledge of cybersecurity or monitoring operations, with a understanding of AI and semantic search technologies such as retrieval-augmented generation, vector search and natural language processing.
  • Professional experience designing or operating solutions on AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
  • Commercial fluency that enables reading a deal, discussing service scope and margin with the partner, and translating technical capability into a business case the customer will purchase.
  • A “one-to-many” mindset: preferring to train ten engineers to run a demo rather than running it ten times yourself, and having evidence that your enablement translates into another person’s win.

Salary:Not disclosed in the posting.

Practical step:If you are currently a solutions engineer at a system integrator or distributor in Saudi Arabia, you are closer to this role than you might think, because the company wants work from the other side of the table. Before applying, gather three concrete evidences: a deal registered by a partner thanks to technical work you performed, a reusable asset you created that others use such as a demo or reference architecture, and a certification or enablement workshop that helped another team become independent. Framing your résumé around these three directly addresses the four metrics by which the role is measured.
