Ajman Chamber launches Certified AI Practitioner program by AIRIS to train staff on AI tools, autonomous agents and a roadmap for solutions in the emirate

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an internal training program called “Certified AI Practitioner by AIRIS,” aiming to enable its staff to understand and apply generative AI tools and independent agents within corporate work environments. The program focused on providing employees with the knowledge and practical skills needed to design innovative technology initiatives, and on drafting an executable roadmap that contributes to strengthening the adoption of smart solutions and expanding their operational impact by simplifying procedures and improving service delivery efficiency for clients and the business sector in the emirate.

Building digital readiness for institutions starts with unpacking technical fundamentals. The program’s training curriculum included a series of progressive modules that began with tracing the history and evolution of artificial intelligence and its concepts in everyday life, continued with the fundamentals of data science and the tools used for its analysis, and added machine-learning mechanisms and the logic of algorithms. The training workshops also covered deep-learning principles, methods for training neural networks and their practical applications, areas of natural-language processing and computer vision, and extended to generative AI applications and agent-based systems for automating daily tasks and processes.

Kaltham Al-Asam, director of the Human Resources Department at the Ajman Chamber, explained that the initiative comes in response to the Chamber’s aim to establish an advanced work environment ready for future requirements, through direct investment in developing the specialized skills of self-reliant staff. Al-Asam also indicated that the approved training plan focuses on turning theoretical knowledge into practical tools that serve to improve services and initiatives, and to devise realistic solutions that help accelerate transactions and increase the flexibility of the internal operational environment, which positively reflects on the Chamber’s performance and the business community.

The shift from superficial education to building structural capacitiesIt represents the most prominent feature of vocational training programs in the Gulf region, as the inclusion of concepts such as network training and proxy systems within semi-governmental institutions’ programs reflects maturity in identifying the actual needs of the labour market. Organizations no longer limit themselves to training their staff to write simple commands in ready-made conversational interfaces; instead, they focus on understanding data lifecycles and algorithmic limits, to enable internal teams to formulate digital-transformation requirements and manage autonomous systems efficiently and responsibly.

This orientation for professional staff and HR teams in the Gulf, Egypt and the region means that standards for professional development need to be reviewed, so that AI skills are not seen as a marginal addition but as an operational competency embedded in each department’s job description. An employee’s possession of a structural understanding that combines language processing, agent automation and data reduces the cost of relying on lengthy external consulting, and enables organisations to develop their own solutions at a speed that matches the rapid shifts in the regional digital economy.
