The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has launched the official logo and approved hashtags for the Year of Artificial Intelligence 2026, following the Saudi Cabinet's approval of the designation. The institutional initiative aims to showcase national efforts across the artificial intelligence sector, consolidate the Kingdom's standing as a leading global hub for data and advanced technologies, and highlight qualitative milestones achieved along this modern development track.
The logo's symbolic architecture relies on a visual integration of national heritage and technological innovation,featuring the palm tree prominently as a national emblem representing generosity, sustainability, and civilisational depth, interwoven with the letters "AI" to reflect the technological and knowledge dimension that underpins digital inclusion goals under Saudi Vision 2030. The composite design was crafted to visually reinforce that the push toward a technological future is anchored in a deeply rooted cultural and civilisational foundation.
In its color scheme, the design draws on a semantic combination of green, reflecting the Saudi flag and national identity, and blue, representing the digital sphere, advanced technology transformation, and the data industry. The Arabic typography was developed to highlight the presence of the Arabic language within technology and innovation, with letterforms drawn from electronic circuit pathways to signify digital processing and artificial intelligence systems, creating visual harmony between the symbol and the text.
The visual standardisation aims to create a unified communications identity across all national events and initiatives throughout 2026,as SDAIA works, through the release of the logo and the approved Arabic (#عام_الذكاء_الاصطناعي) and English (#SaudiAIYear) hashtags, to streamline the media presence of programs and activities hosted by government entities, private companies, and non-profit organisations. This unified umbrella highlights institutional coordination in leading technological transformation, reflecting plans to build an integrated economy driven by data and artificial intelligence solutions to reinforce the Kingdom's regional and international standing.
