Anthropic's revenue continues to accelerate at a rapid pace, not only expanding at record rates but also experiencing steady upward momentum. Data reported by Bloomberg showed that the model maker's annualized revenue run rate surpassed $65 billion by the end of July, a metric that projects a full year's revenue based on performance over a more recent, shorter period, reflecting a notable jump from $47 billion recorded in May and a vast increase from the $9 billion achieved at the end of last year.

The company's annualized revenue run rate jumped from $9 billion at the end of last year to more than $65 billion by the end of July.According to the Financial Times, investors in the company are basing their expectations on this growth continuing at the same rate and pace for the remainder of this year, putting the company on track to reach annual revenue of between $100 billion and $120 billion by the end of 2026, reflecting clear confidence among investment circles in its business model.

In terms of direct competition, OpenAI doubled its revenue to reach $40 billion, compared to around $20 billion at the end of 2025, according to Bloomberg reports published last week. Although there may be differences in the accounting standards used by each company to measure revenue, Anthropic's growth rate and rapid acceleration have captured investor attention to a degree that has surpassed its rival, placing its figures at the center of widespread focus across financial circles.

Filing confidential IPO paperwork puts Anthropic on a proactive path to enter the public markets this autumn. Both companies have confidentially filed initial public offering paperwork with the relevant authorities, but current estimates suggest Anthropic is likely to reach financial markets and public trading ahead of its rival OpenAI, with the listing potentially taking place as early as this autumn.

Through this move, Anthropic is seeking a public market valuation of $2 trillion or more, according to the Financial Times report, which would make its listing the largest initial public offering and market debut recorded in trading history. These efforts follow the company's latest valuation of $965 billion in late May, when it raised a $65 billion funding round, while the company did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding these figures and plans.
