What happened: On July 23, OpenAI began rolling out Health in ChatGPT to registered users aged 18 and over in the United States, on the web and iOS. The feature lets users connect Apple Health data and supported medical records, then allows the system to use them in conversations after requesting permission by default. The company says connected health data and the conversations that use it are not used to train its foundation models or target advertising. It also explicitly warns that ChatGPT can make mistakes and is not a substitute for professional medical care.
