Egypt's Digital Egypt Creativity Centres, known as Creativa, are organising a five-day AI hackathon at 17 branches across the country's governorates. The event is being held with the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), part of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency, in partnership with Orange Digital Center and the Instant educational platform. The programme combines training and competition: three in-person days at the centres on August 16, 17 and 20, with two online days in between, followed by a competition for the best solutions.

Date: August 16 to 20, 2026, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Venue: Creativa centres in 17 governorates, including Cairo, Alexandria, Tanta, Mansoura and Aswan, plus two online days
Who it is for: University students and recent graduates in Egypt. The registration form requests a national ID number
Cost: Free, offered as part of Orange Digital Center grants

Why attend: The practical training covers large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases and the development of reliable applications. Every participant receives a certificate, while the top performers in each governorate receive additional courses from Orange Digital Center, a one-year subscription to the Instant platform and an opportunity to take part in a career fair.
