Inception, part of the UAE's G42 group, launched a sovereign AI assistant called InceptionClaw on May 5, 2026. It is built on the company's Catalyst platform and Compass GPT-5.x models. The assistant works proactively, not only reactively. It continuously monitors email, calendars and project management tools, producing structured summaries and alerts without waiting for a user request. An immediate pilot began with Inception's executive leadership, followed by a gradual expansion across the G42 ecosystem during May 2026.

The lens: Digital sovereignty
InceptionClaw operates entirely within the UAE's sovereign domain through Greenshield controls. This means that all data it processes, from executive messages to sensitive decisions, remains within UAE jurisdiction. It addresses a genuine problem for governments and regulated institutions: how to adopt agentic AI quickly without surrendering legal control over data. Inception CEO Ashish Koshy also said governments and institutions need AI agents that are both powerful and accountable. This is precisely the position Gulf states are seeking to establish, combining global technology leadership with full data sovereignty.
